We had a nice turnout for the first Casting Session for our Capstone short films!

With Capstones around the corner, students get an opportunity to pitch their ideas to the class. They all vote to decide which six scripts will be green lit for production.

Class of 2017 Graduate Tera Kenney returns to campus to share her extensive knowledge with our students. They learned how to age wood with torches and had the opportunity to create their own art!

The 30th Anniversary of the Valencia Film Celebration!!!! The Students celebrated a momentous occasion. We paid tribute to the pioneer of the program Ralph R. Clemente as well as his protege, Film Production Program Coordinator Moe Fowler III by presenting him with the first ever Ralph R. Clemente Legacy Icon Award!!!

The students take a more complex approach to lighting setups and composition.

Sound is vital in film, enhancing storytelling by creating atmosphere and emotion. In film school, students learn that effective sound design—including dialogue, sound effects, and music—immerses audiences and guides their emotional responses. Mastering sound helps aspiring filmmakers craft cohesive narratives, making it an essential focus of their education.
